Lios Enchim Aniavu, I am Hiaki and my family comes from Sonora, Guanajuato and San Diego. I have spent my years growing up and living within the beautiful landscapes on both sides of the border. Indigenous perspectives and teachings inform my approach to land, emphasizing interdependence, stewardship, and respect for the natural world. I believe that we are not separate from the environment but are part of it, bound by the same cycles and systems that sustain all life. Through my work, I seek to help others reconnect with nature in meaningful, practical ways that honor place, history, and responsibility to land. My work is rooted in a belief that learning directly from place fosters responsibility, reciprocity, and long-term care for the environments we depend on.
I hold an Associate of Science in Sustainable Agriculture, an Associate of Arts in Kumeyaay Studies, a Certificate in Environmental Education from Arizona State University, and I am currently finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. My academic background is complemented by years of hands-on work in environmental education, conservation, and community-based learning.

The work behind Landwise Studio is grounded in a deep connection to land, place-based learning, and environmental stewardship. Shaped by long-standing relationships with landscapes, plants, and animals, my work reflects an understanding of nature as a source of balance, belonging, and interdependence. It is rooted in the belief that protecting the environment and honoring Indigenous cultural lifeways are inseparable paths toward a more balanced and just future.
Landwise Studio brings together practical knowledge and respectful approaches to understanding local environments. At the core of this work is a passion for helping people reconnect with the natural world — not only to learn about land, plants, and ecosystems, but to build respect, reciprocity, and long-term relationships with the places they move through and care for.
Through thoughtfully designed, accessible tools, Landwise Studio supports learning that encourages observation, stewardship, and a deeper understanding of land as living, relational, and deserving of care.
