My Story

Ancestrally, my family roots extend across Sonora, Guanajuato, and Michoacán in Mexico, as well as San Diego and other parts of California. My Indigenous ancestry connects me to the Yaqui peoples alongside other ancestral lineages, including my European roots. Growing up connected to the beautiful landscapes and communities on both sides of the border has deeply shaped my relationship with culture, land, and environmental stewardship. I see these connections as part of a broader family story, one shaped by distinct peoples, histories, and homelands, yet united in the ways they have influenced who I am and how I understand my responsibilities to the land and future generations.
I believe that we are not separate from the environment but are part of it, bound by the same cycles and systems that sustain all life. Through my work, I seek to help others reconnect with nature in meaningful, practical ways that honor place, history, and responsibility to land. My work is rooted in a belief that learning directly from place fosters responsibility, reciprocity, and long-term care for the environments we depend on.
I hold degrees in Kumeyaay Studies and Sustainable Agriculture, along with a certification in Environmental Education, and will be completing my Bachelor’s in Environmental Science in Spring 2027. My academic background is complemented by years of hands-on work in urban agriculture, environmental education, conservation, and community-based learning.

Shaped by long-standing relationships with landscapes, plants, and animals, my work reflects an understanding of nature as a source of balance, belonging, and interdependence. It is rooted in the belief that protecting the environment and honoring Indigenous cultural lifeways are inseparable paths toward a more balanced and just future.
Landwise Studio brings together practical knowledge and respectful approaches to understanding local environments. At the core of this work is a passion for helping people reconnect with the natural world — not only to learn about land, plants, and ecosystems, but to build respect, reciprocity, and long-term relationships with the places they move through and care for.
Through thoughtfully designed, accessible tools, Landwise Studio supports learning that encourages observation, stewardship, and a deeper understanding of land as living, relational, and deserving of care.
